His Majesty the King Mohamed VI, King of Morocco is a descendent of the Alaouite offspring, originally from Yanboo Al Nakhil, a small oasis of Arabia coast on the red sea.Directly descending from the prophet of Islam, Sidna Mohammed via his daughter lalla Fatima Zohra, the Royal family came to settle down in Sijilmasa, in the Moroccan south, in the middle of the 13th centry.His Majesty the King Mohammed VI is the 23rd king of the Alaouite Dynasty, whose reign has started in the middle of the 17th century.


His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, son of late Majesty Hassan II, is born on August 21st , 1963 in Rabat. At the age of 4 his father enrolled him at Koranic school of the Royal palace. 


In 1973 his Royal Highness Crown Prince got with success the certificate of his primary studies, and finished his secondary studies at the Royal college where he had his baccalaureate in 1981. He is graduate from the University Mohammed V. 


In 1985 Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed got his bachelor degree in law at scientifique, judicial, economic and social studies in Rabat. The subject of his memoire is concerned with “The African Union and the Kingdom strategy in International relations”.


In 1987, he had the first certificate of high studies in political sciences.
In July 1988, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed succeeded in his last exams in the second certificate of high studies in public law.


          

 

 

 

 

 

 

In order to complete his training and for the practice of the principles and rules of law at the college Late Majesty Hassan II decided to send him on November 1988 to Brussels for a training during some months with Mr Jack Delors, President of the commission of the European Economic Communities. 

Even at a young age, crown prince was always asked by his father to carry out different missions at different levels: national, Arabic, Islamic , African and international towards head states, brothers and friends. His highness has taken part in many international and regional conferences.The first official mission abroad of his highness Crown Prince took place in1974, when he represented his Majesty Hassan II at the religious office celebrated cathedral “Notre Dame de Paris”, at the memory of the French president, Georges Pampidou. 


On December 1979, his Royal Highness Crown prince has the honorable presidency of the socio-cultural association of the meditereaneen bassin.
 From 23- to 30th of July 1980 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed went in a tower in many African Countries and met Leopold Sedar senghor, President of Senegal, Sekou Touri President of Guinea, Felix Houphouët Boigny, President of Ivory Coast, Ahmedou Ahijou, President of Cameroun and Shehu Shagari, President of Nigeria. He handed out to them personnal messages from Late Majesty Hassan II. 

  

 

On March 1982, he is nominated President of the commity of organisation of the 11th mediterenean games of Casablanca. 
On March 10th 1983, His Highness Crown Prince presided the Moroccan delegation in the preparation of the 7th sommet of non alined countries in New Delhi and gave an important speech in which he talked about the moroccan positions concerning different arabic, african and international questions. 

On September 21st 1983, Crown Prince presided the moroccan delegation in the work of the commity of the OUA, responsible for the question of the Sahara in Adis Abiba. 

On October 3rd 1983, he presided the moroccan delegation at the 5th French African Conference. On April 11th 1985, his Highness Crown Prince is nominated by his father President of the commission responsible for the organisation of the Panarab games. 
On November 26th 1985, his Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed is nominated by his father as a co-ordinater of services and desk and major general army forces. A mission well carried out by Prince who knew how to do other different missions. 
From 11 to March 18th 1986, his Highness Crown Prince paid an official visit to Saoudi Arabia and on March 7th 1987, he made an official visit to Japan. 
On February 23rd 1989, his Highness Crown Prince represented Late Majesty Hassan II in the funerals of Japan’s Empror Hiro Hito. 

On October 29th 1993, his Highness Crown Prince had, at the university of Nice –Antipolis in France, the title of a doctor in law . the thesis title was called: “co-operation between the European Economic Community and the Arabic aghreb Union”. 

On July 12th 1994, his Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed is promoted by Late Majesty Hassan II to a General of Division. 

On April 12th 1994, his Highness Crown Prince presided the opening of the work of the ministirial conference of the GATT in Marrakech. 

On May 4th 1994, his Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed took part in the work of the meeting of the consulting group in Geneva on the occasion of the commemoration of the 50th  anniversary of the United Nations constitution.

On December 19th 1994, his Highness Crown Prince presided the work of the high council of culture.

On January 12th 1995, his Highness Crown Prince presided in Paris the closing of the Seminary on “relations between Morocco and Europe”.

On December 10th 1996, his Highness Crown Prince inaugurated in New York the Moroccan-American desk council of trade and investment.

From Jun 21st to 27th 1997, his Highness Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed represented Late Majesty Hassan II in the work of the extraordinary session of the United Nations general assembly on environement, intitled “Land Summit + 5”.
Crown Prince is declared King of Morocco.
His enthronment is celebrated on july 30th 1999.
